Rio School District at the Oxnard Christmas Parade
The Rio School District had a fantastic turnout at the Oxnard Christmas Parade this past weekend. Students, staff, and families from all nine schools came together to showcase the spirit, talent, and unity of our district. Every school was proudly represented—our cheer teams brought incredible energy, the Rio Del Valle California Cadet Corps marched with pride and precision, the Rio Regenerative Farm team joined us with their tractor and farm chickens, the Rio Del Norte’s Chess Club added creativity and enthusiasm with their custom-made 11-foot art car while the Rio School District Theater Arts Beauty and the Beast cast charmed parade-goers with their amazing and bright costumes.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the generous community members who helped make our parade entry truly unforgettable. We are especially grateful to Joe Gaona of Seaside Packaging for donating the semi-truck and driving us in the parade, and to Beto Hernandez of 805 Trucking for providing the trailer flatbed. Their support allowed us to bring our “Rio-Ville at the Farm” theme to life, giving us the space, visibility, and presence needed to share holiday joy with the thousands of families along the parade route.
Thank you again to all our volunteers, families, staff, and community partners. Your enthusiasm and generosity continue to make the Rio School District shine—especially during this magical time of year.
