At the Rio School District we teach students to be critical thinkers, to be curious, motivated, self-reflective learners who ask thoughtful questions to deepen understanding, and ignite work worth doing.

- noun – the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment. “professors often find it difficult to encourage critical thinking amongst their students”
What outcomes do we expect to see and hear from our students in the area of Critical Thinking?
- Problem solve through a range of modalities.
- Student should
be able to look at a problem and come up with logical , multi-faceted solutions
- Asking questions and thinking outside of the box.
- Ss utilize a variety of disciplines and skills,
both academic and non-academic, to form a judgement or solution towards a real-world problem based on a felt need.
- Different strategies to get to the solution
