Rio Regenerative Farm Community Volunteer Day- 11/22
Hello Rio School District Families,
We are excited to welcome everyone back to the farm for our last community day of the year. Please join us this Saturday, November 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
We want to thank all the amazing volunteers who have lent a hand in helping to cultivate and maintain this special place for our students and community!
Join Farmer Quique and the Pesticide Free Soil Project this Saturday at the farm.
The Rio Regenerative Farm is a ten-acre educational and production farm dedicated to modeling the five pillars of regenerative agriculture to build and sustain healthy soil. We believe that when we care for the soil, we grow healthy plants—and in turn, healthy people.
All of the fruits and vegetables harvested from our farm are shared with the Rio School District’s nine cafeterias and bakery. Students enjoy these organically grown, nutrient-dense foods on their salad bars, in school meals, during Harvest of the Month lessons with our Farm to School Garden and Nutrition Specialists, and on farm field trips.
