ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: N. Ventura Rd. Closure During Santa Clara River Levee (SCR-3) Phase 2 Construction

The Ventura County Public Works Agency – Watershed Protection District (VCPWA-WPD) will be closing the northbound lanes of N. Ventura Rd. between Stone Creek Dr. and Wagon Wheel Rd. beginning Monday, September 8, 2025, through Friday, October 18, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

 

This closure is part of the Santa Clara River Levee (SCR-3) Phase 2 construction project and is necessary to complete flood protection improvements in the City of Oxnard.

 

What to Expect:

  • Drivers should expect delays and plan for extra travel time.
  • Detours will be in place, with alternate routes available via Vineyard Ave., Oxnard Blvd., Victoria Ave., and Gonzales Rd. to Rose Ave.
